The Professional College of Computer Engineering of Galicia (Cpeig) has awarded the Master’s Thesis Prize in Computer Engineering to Rubén Pérez Jove from Culleredo for his project on the design and development of an application that integrates artificial intelligence in cybersecurity.
His creation, named fingerAI, facilitates the fingerprinting of operating systems, a common task among professionals in the field that involves “analyzing the machines that are connected to the network,” explains the awardee. He details that the novelty of his application lies in “having developed a tool that incorporates artificial intelligence,” which is “user-friendly” and available for the public to use or adapt to their work needs, Pérez explains.
